This is the agreement between you and Cinch. It is short on purpose. It says what the app does, what stays yours, what you agree not to do with it, and what is not being promised — in the same plain terms as everything else here.
By creating an account or using Cinch, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app. If you are using Cinch on behalf of an organization, you are confirming that you can accept these terms for it.
You must be at least 13 years old. Cinch is not directed at younger children and accounts belonging to them will be removed.
Cinch is a wardrobe app. You photograph the clothes you own; the app identifies each piece, learns what you like, and suggests outfits to wear from what is already in your closet. Some of that work happens on your device and some of it is done by an AI provider, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Features may change. Cinch is a young product and parts of it will be added, reworked, or removed as it develops. Anything that materially changes what is sent to an AI provider will be put to you again inside the app rather than switched on quietly.
The photographs you upload, the corrections you make, and the notes you write are your content. You keep every right in them. Cinch claims no ownership and will not use your photographs to advertise the app, to train a public model, or for anything unrelated to running the service for you.
To operate the app at all, Cinch needs your permission to store your content, process it, and transmit it to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy — for example, sending a garment photograph to the AI provider so it can be identified. That permission covers running the service for you and nothing else, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.
You are responsible for what you upload. By uploading, you confirm you have the right to do so and that the content does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Cinch's AI processing costs real money per request. Deliberately running up usage — automated bulk requests, or driving the paid features in a loop — is a breach of these terms and requests may be throttled or refused.
Cinch has optional social features: you can follow friends, let them see a closet, comment on an outfit, post to an event, and ask to borrow a piece. Anything you put in front of another user is covered by the rules above, and by one more: no harassment, hate, threats, sexual content involving anyone, or content that targets or demeans a person. There is no tolerance for it and no warning owed before it is removed.
Every comment, posted outfit and profile carries a Report control, and every profile carries Block. Blocking is immediate and mutual: it severs the follow in both directions and removes the blocked person from events you host. Reported content is reviewed, and a comment reported by several different people is hidden automatically while it waits. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and the account that posted it may be suspended or terminated under Your account below.
You can see and undo your blocks at any time under Profile → Blocked people.
Cinch's suggestions are suggestions. They come from a scoring algorithm and, in part, from an AI model, and both are sometimes wrong. Tags can be mistaken, the weather forecast can be off, and an outfit the app is confident about can still be a bad idea for your day.
Nothing Cinch produces is professional advice of any kind — not styling advice for an occasion where it matters, not advice about what is suitable for a workplace, a climate, a religious or cultural setting, or a medical need. Use your own judgement, and look out of the window before you dress for the weather. You decide what you wear; Cinch does not.
Sign-in is by Apple or by a link sent to your email address, and you are responsible for keeping access to whichever you use. Only open a Cinch sign-in link that you asked for yourself, on the device you asked for it on. Cinch will never ask you to forward a sign-in link or its code to anyone.
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting your account under Profile → Delete account. That removes your photographs, garment records, outfit history, and learned style profile. It cannot be undone.
Cinch may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or that is being used in a way that endangers the service or other users. Where it is practical and lawful to do so, you will be told why and given a chance to put it right first. If your account is terminated, these terms stop applying except for the sections that by their nature survive — content ownership, disclaimers, liability, and governing law.
Cinch may also discontinue the service entirely. If that happens, reasonable notice will be given so you can retrieve or delete your content.
Cinch is free to use. Two optional paid memberships — Standard and Pro — raise the limits on how many pieces your closet holds, how many outfits Cinch builds, and how much you can use the written styling features. Nothing you have already added is taken away if you never subscribe, and nothing you have added is taken away if you stop.
Memberships are sold only inside the app, as auto-renewing subscriptions billed through your Apple ID. Cinch never sees or handles your card.
Prices differ by country and can change. The price that applies to you is the one shown on the membership screen in the app at the moment you subscribe, and Apple will show it to you again before taking payment. If a price rises for a subscription you already hold, Apple will ask you to agree before renewing at the new price.
Renewal. A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges the renewal to your Apple ID within the 24 hours before the period ends.
Cancelling. Cancel any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device, or from Profile → Membership in Cinch, which opens the same place. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for, and you keep the paid limits until that period ends. Deleting your Cinch account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it with Apple as well, or it will keep renewing.
Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are Apple's to give. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue a refund for an App Store purchase ourselves, but if something went wrong, write to us and we will help you make the case.
Cinch is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. There is no promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every threat, or that its tags and suggestions will be accurate.
Cinch depends on services it does not control — Supabase, OpenRouter, Open-Meteo, Apple. Their outages are Cinch's outages, and no guarantee is made about their availability.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Cinch will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or the cost of substitute services, arising out of or relating to your use of the app.
To the fullest extent the law allows, total liability for all claims relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Cinch in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that is the case, the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer in the UK, the EEA, or a US state with equivalent protections, you keep the statutory rights those laws give you.
If these terms change materially, the date at the top will change and you will be told in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Cinch after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, delete your account.
